Fast forward, after blowing up an independent Wilderness Trail in Alaska, they got sold to Campari. But truth be told, this was a blessing in disguise for Macaulay. This was the beginning of Darks Arts Whiskey House, Macaulay's own entity where he had full reign to cook whatever he wanted in his own kitchen.

Ylli had many conversations throughout the months with Macaulay, which lead to how about to launch in Alaska. Not soon after, samples were sent, dates were set and Alaska became the first state to officially launch Dark Arts! Even better the AWGF was given the first two private barrel picks to come out of Dark Arts Whiskey House.

EDITOR’S NOTES: This is a banger on the palate. If you like a rye forward bourbon, this is it. Reminds me a bit of the Wild Turkey profile with the oak and zest notes. A marvel to savor slowly.
