[ALCTD] Japanese and Korean Whisky Tasting
There’s no other restaurant in Anchorage that screams Southeast Asia more than Fiori D’Italia. The whisky selection, of course, not the food.
Join us on August 3rd, 2024 at Fiori D’Italia to have Kris Elliott, co-founder of High Road Spirits, take you on a journey outside of Alaska and into the palates of the Japanese and Korean people.
For those of you who have been to Fiori and Allocated, or have met Ylli and Long, you know that Japanese whisky is always a hot topic. Long sums up Japanese whisky as ‘having the complexity of scotch, but drinkability of Irish.’
We are excited to revisit some old Japanese whisky gems like Mars and Ichiro, as well as, introduce a new Japanese and Korean whisky brand to Alaska, Kanosuke and Ki One, respectively. Kanosuke claims to make ‘a richer, mellower Japanese Whisky,’ so we hope the Suntory soldiers and Nikka nuts come to the yard and judge for yourself! Ki One is the Korean curveball in the whisky lineup that we can’t wait for you to try. It’s the first craft distillery in Korea focusing on single malt spirits.
We are happy to annouce the small bites will be catered by our great friends over at Seoul Casa!! Food or drink, we don’t know what we’re more excited for.
You must be 21+ to attend.
A complimentary whisky highball will be provided to you during the ‘cocktail hour’ before we commence the tasting. Hope to see you there!
Cocktail: 6:30PM | Tasting: 7:00PM
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local non-profit
